| Hatch to Return for Game 3 I guess this is the end of Lasse Kukkonen, even though it is so unfair.
Sunday, April 13
2:18 p.m.
Derian Hatcher could be ready to go.
Although neither he nor John Stevens would commit fully, it’s a good bet that the big, veteran defenseman will make his 2008 playoff debut when Philadelphia hosts the Washington Capitals in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Tuesday (7:00 p.m., Comcast SportsNet).
“I would have to say I’m probably available,” said Hatcher, after skating at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone on Monday morning. “It felt pretty good [today] and it felt good [Sunday].”
Hatcher is recovering from a broken bone in his right leg, sustained on March 15 in Boston. He said that it was drained of fluid on Friday night.
“It’s actually amazing. I’m actually smiling after coming off the ice,” he joked. “It’s fun again skating out there.” http://flyers.nhl.com/team/app/?serv...LPage&id=18891

| Kukkonen > Hatcher.
No doubt, I REALLY hope this doesn't bite us in the ass. But, I have a feeling it will.

| Game 2 was as sound defensively as I've seen us all season. Why mix things up now? I can see Hatch coming back to replace Modry - that's about the only change I'd like to see.

| Spot on Drew... why try to fix something when it isn't broke? Hopefully Stevens realizes how good Kukkonen has really been, and scratches Modry instead... | | | | Senior Member

| Yeah, I really don't want him back unless Modry's out.

| Maybe Hatcher can come back and give Stevens a bomb like he did to Lupul earlier this season. Then maybe Modry too so that Kukks could play again. | | | | Section 212

| Why is Modry in the lineup. Was does stevens see in him. With Hatch back i thought the recent play of Kuk and Modry would favor Kuk. Now with Timonen down im guessing Kuk would be abck in but if Timonen can go Modry needs to be out
