Thumbs up Kim Johnsson to play in Game Four

Source: NHL.com

Philadelphia defenseman Kim Johnsson will play in Game 4 of the Flyers' second-round playoff series against Toronto after missing three games with a broken bone in his left hand.

Johnsson, the Flyers' best defenseman, said he's eager to return for Friday night's game. The Flyers lost 4-1 on Wednesday night, but lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.

"It's feeling good," Johnsson said Thursday. "It's going to be a lot of fun."

Johnsson was injured in Philadelphia's clinching victory over defending Stanley Cup champion New Jersey in the first round when he was hit with the puck, breaking the bone that connects his ring finger to his wrist.

"The healing has started, so I think it's going to be fine," he said.

Forward Sami Kapanen will return to his normal forward spot after replacing Johnsson on defense.

"Sami did a great job, but Kim's arguably our best defenseman," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "When you're adding good players into our lineup, especially in a heated series like this, it's a good feeling."

Johnsson will be paired with defenseman Marcus Ragnarsson, who didn't practice on Thursday after being slashed in the leg on Wednesday. Hitchcock expects Ragnarsson to play
