Bring on the Leafs The Toronto Maple Leafs moved on to Round 2 with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators. Two first period goals from Joe Nieuwendyk put the Leafs ahead for good, and sent them on to Philly.
Both goals were almost carbon copies of each other, with Nieuwendyk blowing a shot through the five hole from the left wing circle. Both goals should've been stopped.
The Senators, as they have throughout the series, continued to pour shots in on Eddie Belfour, but could not find the back of the net. Lalime, on the other hand clearly cost his team the game.
So, get ready for another blood bath between the Leafs and Flyers. This should be one awesome series. |
