General Article Post Game Report: Vs Sabres 1/13

I hate to be a fair weathered fan, but this is getting OLD, very OLD. The Flyers are playing like youth rejects, at least last night's game showed some frustration. Team errors are killing this team to the point of no return. Horrible.

Offense: Obviously, goals were scored. Signs that the Flyers offense is back on the right track. The bigger problems here are the goaltenders and defenders on this on/off team. The Flyers are not playing together as a team, playing out for themselves, something a last-place club does. This Flyers team is not a bottomfeeder team, but we're looking like it now.

"D": Bringing me to the first problem, The Flyers D-men are not doing a quarter of what they're job description asks for. They're not taking forwards up front, or in man-man coverage. Of course, you have to be able to trust your goalie to make some saves once in a while.

Goaltending: Ah, boy. What a goaltending roster that we have this season. Jeff Hackett is not fit for the NHL any longer. He's old, played out; whatever you would like to call it. It's just old. I don't believe that he's going to help this team any more than chokemanek will. Bad move to pick him up in the first place anyway. Robert Esche, is better than Hack, but still needs more experience, not the No.1 type either, yet.

Overall: The Flyers are not functioning very well. The team lacks the amount of intensity and desire that they once had.
Where do we go from here??
