Well, Hack has screwed us again. Robert Esche comes out against the Islanders, has a great game and picks up a win. Jeff Hackett comes out the next night and blows us away with his inability. The Atlanta Thrashers are having a good season, they're playing well and obviously had what it takes to beat Hack and the Flyers last night in Atlanta. Of course, you don't need much to beat us when Hack has an "off" night.
Goaltending: Robert Esche is #1 starter quality. Not sure if the coaching staff realizes it, but Robert is able to take pressure and clutch. Something that Jeff Hackett has done a few times, but obviously could not handle it last night.
"Hot-lanta": The Thrashers "O" was clicking last night, beating the Flyers on quick plays and scoring a total of four goals. THe Flyers appearently were not ready for Atlanta's onslaught and were caught by surprise. Something that surely didn't happen on Nov 15. A game yours truly attended

.
Overall Game Grade: Something I'm doing a bit different in my reports, a game grade. Where I give a report card if you will, to all aspects of the team on the game I'm reporting.
Overall: "C" - The team needs to win these games, and at least put up a fight.
Offense: "B" - The Flyers offense had their share of chances, just couldn't get the puck past Dafoe.
Defence: "D+" - This may be a bit harsh, but they did a bad job, didn't adjust to the plays Atlanta was running.
Goaltending: "D" - Jeff Hackett. Read the report, that should be a good enough reason for this grade. I was generous.
