The Flyers were outplayed in the first period, trailing 2-0 heading into the locker room. They then buckled down and got out of New Jersey with a 3-3 tie that secures them a point. Jeff Hackett and Marty Brodeur squared off in the goaltending matchup that I, and I'm sure most of you agree, Brodeur won.
-- Hack: The two goals that Jeff Hackett let in tonight were very tough to swallow. Especially the late first period goal from outside of the zone. No excuse for giving one up like that.
-- Comeback Kids Do It Again: Being down 2-0 against the defending Stanley Cup Champions usually thrashes hopes of a win or even a tie, but the Flyers battled back and got a point after they finally began playing the game.
-- Sami: Sami Kapenen has been playing extremely well during the past few games, not sure what has sparked him all of the sudden, but he's surely a big part of the game-plan with the way he is preforming now.
-- Home & Home: In less than 24 hours from now, the two teams will be back on the ice at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia for round 2 of this great rivalry. Should be a dandy, make sure you check back here after the game for another Post Game HIVE report!!
