Wow, Busy week. Haven't had access time in a while and I missed the GTS as well as my post game reports for the past two games so here is one double report on what I noticed from both of the games and the past month for that matter all mashed into one list.
- Philadelphia Flyers hockey means more to Philadelphia now more than any other time in recent history. With all of the success of other Philly sports teams, the Flyers have been no different this fall. Undefeated at home STILL, undefeated in the last dozen games or so. And the leader in the league for a period of time. Some Flyers fans are going as far as setting the parade date. Though, I won't go that far, I believe that the Flyers have given us something to cheer about in season's past, while maybe not as much as the current year, the team seems to meltdown come playoff time. Let's continue to have faith in our boys in orange and black throughout the season and hope the momentum does not wear out and continues to the playoff season.
- Jeff Hackett has also given us something to cheer about early this season. Most Flyers fans doubted him even before he arrived (I know I did). But he has shown something of a sense of team player caliber that we did not have with Roman Cechmanek last year.
- With the good comes the bad, the bad are the injuries that have plauged the Flyers throughout the season. From the early season injury to Leclair to the current trials of Roenick. The Flyers have been banged up, yet still remain highly upbeat and are winning hockey games.
- This seems like a midseason report, but it basically combines everything that I've seen throughout the month of November and the past two games. I trust everyone had a great Thanksgiving and wish a happy holiday season to everyone.
