Post Game Hive: 11/12/05 Hey guys, sorry this wasn't posted earlier. I had a little party at my house Saturday evening, and couldn't get it done last night.
At any rate, we've got ourselves a hockey team. Jim Jackson and company were talking about going into overtime last night during the Comcast Sports Net telecast with 3.2 seconds remaining on the regulation clock. With the blink of an eye, Mike Knuble had jumped over the boards and scored deposited the puck past Jamie McLennan to propel the Flyers to their sixth straight win. It was Knuble's second goal in the contest.
Simon Gagne scored his 17th goal, which ties him with New York's Jagr for the league-lead. Jeff Carter and Joni Pitkanen also tallied in the game.
This brings us back to the opening comment, I believe that we have a great team on our hands this year, one that can possibly bring a Stanley Cup to Philadelphia.
I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it's hard not to look ahead. These players just need to focus on keeping the momentum up in the regular season, but also to save some of it for the playoffs.
If we had the team we have this year in last year's playoffs, I believe we would be the defending Stanley Cup champions. Granted, the NHL has changed alot in the last year. This is going to be a fun-to-watch hockey club as the year progreses.
Don't you dare touch that remote, Philadelphia.
