| Post Game Hive: 10/22/05 Following a team bonding expedition to West Point, NY, the Philadelphia Flyers returned to the ice tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Many were wondering how the team would respond after such a long layoff, and whether Robert Esche could rebound from his shaky start to 2005-2006. Ladies and Gentlemen, he's going to be just fine. The majority of the shots he took required more than an average effort, as the Leafs kept the pressure on him most of the night.
Scoring for the Flyers (4-2-0), were Eric Desjardins, Mike Richards, Mike Knuble, Donald Brashear, and Branko Radivojevic. Simon Gagne had an assist in the win, but was not able to continue his goal-scoring streak. Forsberg also recorded two points in the effort.
The Leafs (4-1-2), were only able to salvage two goals against the orange and black d-men. Tomas Kaberle and Eric Lindros were the goal scorers for Toronto.
The Flyers are in action against the Montreal Canadians this Tuesday at 7:30pm.
See you then, Hivers!
