Post Game Hive: 10/15/05 We saw some good things from the Flyguys in tonight's matchup against the New York Islanders. The powerplay was still below par, but the season high for man-advantage goals (2) was matched in the game. We're also seeing a balanced flurry of scoring, which is very important to a championship-contending team.
Scoring goals for the Flyers tonight were, Michal Handzus (2), Patrick Sharp, Kim Johnsson, and Simon Gagne). Gagne has scored a goal in every game this season, and has become nearly a sure bet in the Hive's GTS threads every night. Mike Richards pitched in tonight, adding two assists to the scoresheet in the 5-1 victory.
The Flyers have won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Philadelphia's next game isn't until next week's rematch against the Maple Leafs. This will give the injured players like Turner Stevenson some time to heal up, word has it that the Flyers will be taking an expedition to help form some bonds within the team.
See you next week, Hivers. |
