| Post Game HIVE: Vs Leafs (Game Five) Today's game between Toronto and Philadelphia cleared some things up didn't it? The Flyers have now established to me that they cannot be beaten when playing on this much emotion at home. The Flyers came out and played as hard as I have seen them play this season. They knew that the winner in this game would PROBABLY win the series. I'm not saying that to jinx anyone, but looking at the home-away records of these teams, the Flyers have the upperhand with the home ice advantage.
With today's victory, the Flyers are now one win away from advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals against Tampa Bay, a well rested team that defeated the Habs in four games. Also with today's win, the Flyers move nine games away from bringing Philadelphia it's first major sports championship in..a long time.
Now, with the good news comes the bad, Robert Esche and V.Malakov were both injured in today's 7-2 game five victory. I'll give you the extent of my knowledge on this, it is rumored that Robert Esche was injured on this first Toronto goal. I can almost confirm this rumor myself, being that the goal was right before the intermission and he did not return in the second period. Malakov's injury, i have no clue on. I saw him on the ice one moment, the next he was in the locker room. It is believed that both injuries are "Upper Body Injuries". More on this tommorrow....

| Looking at the 1st Toronto goal...Esche barely moved, so personally, I don't think that's what happened. | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer

| Awesome Game for the Flyers , they out worked and out hit the leafs , and they did it by dominating in all end of the Ice , From the start to the end the Flyers did everything right , I would have liked to see the power play get a goal , but gettin a short handed and a few goalswhile playiong 4 0n 4 helped this team alont , Game six will be tough as the leafs will look to use thier home ice to an advantage , if the Flyers can play with the same energy as todays game then then they should be able to eliminate the Leafs and move on to the next round.
As Far as the injurys , I hope Esche and Malakov both can return , I didnt see what might have happend to Malakov , if he is unable to rutrun we could see Sami Kapanen back on Defense again. As Far as Esche goes , I hope he didnt reagravate the Groin Injury he had Earlier this season , if he is unable to go , Look for Antero Niittymaki to serve as Burkes backup.

But, there's no other movement for him in the period. He had no shots until that point. The Flyers are saying that it's an "upeer body injury" not quite sure. | | | | LETS GO FLYERS!

| Magnificant performance by the Flyers today. They came out, scored 3 goals, gained some breathing room, and then piled it on from there. If they can continue this throughout the rest of the playoffs, I think we'll see a big silver cup driving down broad street in a couple of months. | And we can officially stop speculating
sounds like Eschey has a touch of the flu. Thought it was something a bit more serious.
