Unhappy Post Game HIVE: Vs Leafs (Game Four)

Well, time to vent again? The Flyers have blown a 2-0 series lead on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the series is now tied at 2. The Flyers were more "outplayed" last game if i say so myself. In last night's game, it just seems like the team forgot how to put the puck in the net. If Robert Esche had not made the saves that he did, the game could have probably ended up far worse in the papers. Now, the series shifts back for game five in Philadelphia, where the Flyers won the first two games of the series. Right now, I'm hoping that the annoying "home ice advantage" song early in the year means something to the team now. The Flyers DO have the advantage. If the teams win all of their home games, Flyers still win. However, I wouldn't count on it. The Flyres need to concentrate on this game as well as the remainder of the series games. Not just in Philly, but in Toronto as well.
Another thing that worries me, the winner of this series is going to face a well-rested Tampa Bay team. While the winner of this series, will be bruised up from playing a near-full or full seven game series. Let's hope that the Flyers home ice will hel them as the playoffs roll on in game five.

Bingo. I thought the Flyers played decent in the first period, somewhat decent in the second, but the third was awful. True, the Flyers did control most of the period, but all they did was cycle the puck endlessly across the boards. Once in a while, they would pass the puck to the defence, who either pinched in and kept the cycling going or lost it and had to take a penalty in an attempt to save a goal.

And the shots the Flyers did get were from bad angles with zero traffic in net. I thought the Flyers would be planting bodies in front of Belfour in this series. I didn't expect them to just keep charging into him and taking two goalie interference penalties in one game.

I'm not even gonna bother talking about the powerplay.

The Flyers Played well for about the 1st Ten mins of the game , it seems like the 1st Sundin goaltook a little out of them and once the leafs got the lead , it was like this team forgot all the things they have done to get this far this year , hopefully a return to South Philly will get this team jump started , the Flyers must Find a way to win Game Five or it will be a hard task to ask them to go back to Toronto down 3 - 2 in the series. Esche was not the blame for this game as two redirection goals were the differance , other wise he made the big saves when needed

Go Flyers ! ! !

Now there's 3 redirections I can think of this series. Something's gotta be done there.

The first ten mins as Jeff said were great. The refs terrible calls, and the 2nd goal just drained them.

LET'S GO FLYERS!!!
