| Post Game Report: Game Three Vs Leafs Ah, yes. It's that time of year. Time to vent after a horrible playoff performance for the Flyers. I've been content with the kind of results that the team has put up thus far in the season, but this team played HORRIBLE tonight in Toronto. Yes, referees played apart. We should be at the point where that dosen't make an effect on the game. Tonight, the Flyers were making lousy mistakes and playing dumb hockey. Taking dumb penalties, missing passes, anything else you want to add? Second and Third period were hard to watch as a Flyers fan, really bad hockey played tonight.
Some people want to blame Robert Esche after tonight's game. I don't. He had no chance on the majority of these goals tonight. Yes, he was giving up super-size rebounds and juggling pucks, but the defenders let him down big-time tonight. KJ is a really key player back there, Kappy's done a nice job, but it's about time we get our real defense back. Still no updates on his status at this time.
This game was much more physical than the previous two. I believe the total hit count was pushing 90. The Flyers were dishing out hits, but they weren't worthwile hits, most drew penalties on the orange and black. Marcus Ragnarsson's slash on Mogilny was totally uncalled for. I don't care who's a fan of who, that's not hockey. I've seen guys in my high school leagues that do that. Really a uncalled-for slash. I don't care who it is, to take a two-hander to anybody is a real dumb and dangerous play . That just adds to tonight's frustration.
The Flyers need to come out flying in game four to get the momentum back in this series, I still have faith. However, If the Flyers play like they did tonight, they won't have to worry about the Conference Finals.

| good points , the Flyers played well in the 1st period , but the rest of the game was like it was a differant team out there. Esche did all he could to keep the team in , the Leafs just out worked and out played the flyers for the last two period , hopefully this lost wakes the team up and they come back with a good solid win firday nite.

| Forget the refs... The Flyers just weren't trying. They were barely hitting, while the Leafs were hitting them often and hard. Esche played ok. Kapanen played ok. The LeClair-Handzus-Recchi line did nothing. The Roenick-Zhamnov-Amonte line didn't do much except score that one goal. Malakhov and Brashear played especially bad in my opinion.. Whatever.. we're still leading.

| True, forget the referees in this game. The Flyers should have played the game so that the refs COULD NOT have had an effect.
Also the whatever, we're still leading remark. Believe me, I try to look at it that way, but if the Flyers remain playing the way they did tonight, we won't be leading for long.

| Oh great. Here comes the Leafs. Just when we were talking sweep, it looks like the Leafs are right back in this one. We're screwed. Esche looked like crap, our d looked like garbage, and so much for our big forwards crashing Eddie. The only goal we got was on a scramble in front of the net. Anyone could have put that puck in the net. It looks like with Niewyndyk and Nolan coming back things are about to get a lot worse! Mogilny looks like he's back with a vengence...and that's trouble. Esche looked like the back up he really is tonight. Too bad we didn't trade for a real goalie at the deadline.
I'm interested to see what Blindside will say. I'm sure it will be something like "everything is alright folks" just like he did last year when we lost to the senators.

| I'm not sure what your problem is with Esche. He let in a breakaway goal, two big deflections, the last goal I can't remember. Anyways, don't blame him for one lacking game after playing 6 great ones.

| How can you blame this on Esche? The whole team played terrible last night. You can't blame an individual for this loss. I'm sorry...
