Pathetic. One word describes the Flyer effort over the past week. Two teams that Flyguys
should have defeated easily, have beaten us. Four more points, down the drain. I don't mean to sound like a sour, weather fan, because that I am not. Most people here know that I'll be with the Orange And Black until my dieing day. The Flyers aren't making me or many other HIVERS happy lately. Two games against the pair of New York teams, two embarassing losses. I don't see either team with much power, yet we fall. Part of this may have to do with an emotional letdown right before the playoffs. It may have something to do with some butterflies as we approach the postseason. We can't afford to have these kinds off effortless games right before the playoffs. Over the last decade, Flyers fans have been dissapointed greatly in the postseason, besides the trip to the Stanley Cup finals some time ago. This last loss proves that this team still has some things that it can work on. You heard me right, the Flyers are not perfect. If we want a lengthy stay in the postseason, the team has to improve on these things and be in the best form all year, when perfomance means the most. I know I can't sit through another offseason wondering "what if?". Thinking about the things that may have went wrong throughout the season. All of this could be incorrect, and this could just be a little letdown before the playoffs start. I hope I am wrong. I hope the team realizes what time it is, it's time to gear up for the most important part of the NHL season. I hate to do Post Game Reports in this manner, but it's the way that I see the team. Let's hope that the Flyers can regroup and prepare for our meeting with Montreal next week.
LET'S GO FLYERS!
Chris
