Poll: What Jersey will Flyers wear to WC?

I'm curious to see what the Flyers choose to wear to their first Winter Classic. It seems as though most teams do something historical.

Do they use:

A) The 70's White Jersey (reverse of the new orange)


B) The Philadelphia Quakers jersey (1st Philly NHL team circa 1930-31)


C) The Philadelphia Blazers (WHL circa 72-73)


D) Something brand new designed only for the Winter Classic


E) Other

Its nice here in the future...

And this is going to easily be the 70s Orange, I don't see them creating something new for this, considering every jersey to date was in some form or another a past jersey, with little or no modification so...

I think its also funny you left the 90's style jerseys off since technically speaking they are past jerseys...

I honestly believe that the Flyers and NHL will delve a bit further into their history to provide something else to sell (see Brainchild of NHL marketing).

And given the trend so far, Pens used an original (although, they could have gone further back to the Pittsburgh Pirates circa 1930 [who became the Quakers the following year]. The blackhawks created a new revision of an old jersey, the Sabres used their original threads and the Red Wings jersey wasnt even a Red Wings Jersey, if I remember correctly, they wore Detroit Cougar jerseys. I think the Flyers, even if they go with the 70's white, will give SERIOUS thought to the Quakers jersey. I wouldnt count it out.

Fact: The Phantoms have worn the Quakers jerseys for a few games in the past.

No way they use the Blazers or Quakers. It's the Philadelphia FLYERS playing now. I'm thinking old school from the 70's (but weren't the whites home back then?)

Yes, White was home in those days, in fact I believe that the Whites where the home jersey of the league til the late 90s...
That's a bit of a fun fact if anyone knows why the league decided to swap the colors???

And Kop, you're right about the Red Wings Jerseys last year, but they were still the red wings colors, so I don't see them doing a blazers jersey considering the color change... I could tho based on this theory see them using the Quakers jersey, and re-crest it with the Flying P on them...

it was actually 2003-04 season when the switched it up. i dunno why though.

In recent years NHL teams have taken to designing and wearing "third jerseys" and this year we're seeing quite a few "vintage jerseys," as teams resurrect abandoned logos and colors from years past. Teams want to show off these new (or old, as the case may be) sweaters at home, where loyal fans will dash to the souvenir stand and buy their own.

Most alternate jerseys are dominated by dark colors; black and crimson and mustard are so much cooler than white, after all. So for the last few years road teams had to travel with two sets of uniforms, just in case an opponent wanted to have a "third jersey night" (thereby forcing the road team to don its whites).

Thats EXACTLY what Im predicting. A Quakers BASED jersey with the Flyers logo or a version of a word mark saying "Flyers" instead of "Quakers."

that would look pretty bad ass actually... with Flyers crested on it instead... But I just don't see it being anything other than the 70s whites you know...

Did we ever wear the 90s Orange jersey as a primary home??? cause I remember the Blacks before 2000, or atleast I think I do (its def felt like a decade since we had color on our ice at home, instead of the bland old black jerseys), and based on your theory there in that article we would have never worn that orange at home...

Ok all, its official, the Flyers are to release the new Jersey design on Sept 11th at 2 pm. Thats only a few days from now. If you havent voted yet, get on it. Lets see where the flyers went!
