| Calder's Gone - whose next? Calder to Detroit for Williams and then to Chicago for Kukkonen (675,000 2nd pairing defence) and a 3rd rd pick this upcoming draft
now next....
York
Esche
Dimo
Sandersson
Hatcher....
anybody know how our draft picks stack up for this draft?>
by the way - I say we choose Turris or Kane (Alzner or Cheraponov if we trade back) | | | | BAI.

| The next few days are going to be interesting, that's for sure. I'm torn about whether we're going to see any goaltenders moved from here on out.

| Chris, you mean the next few hours! Didn't see Calder leaving... thought he and Carter had a good thing going... our d is looking stacked now
I guess this puts to rest any thought of trading Piki... looks like they brought Kukko in to play with him (a cheaper Timonen?)

I would like to see both Hatcher and Sandy stay from that list. We need some veterans peppered around in our lines. I don't want to go the Penguins direction, no matter how good they're doing at the moment. | | | | Senior Member

If not, we need to go after a guy like Jovo from PHX, dont even know how much it would cost for that guy, or maybe Sami Salo?? These guys are highly improbable, but I'm just naming off the skillset we need. | | | | H4-H6 Designer Join Date: Jul 2003 Posts: 494

| I think this pickup of Kukkonen is the result of Baumgartner getting snagged off waivers. It gives the Flyers a d-man that can step in right now & opens the door for Hatcher or Gauthier to get moved.
Over the past 40 years there haven't been many opportunities for the Flyers to be sellers at the deadline, but Homer is really taking advantage of the opportunity (and the rest of the NHL!) | | | | Mighty Mighty Mick

| All of the above hopefully.
No really, I would like to see what Sanderson could do next year once we get better. York can go, he's washed up. Hatcher can stay for some veteran presence on the backline. I love when he gets into players faces (I.E. Crosby)
I'm up in the air with Esche. I'm thinking Homer may decide to keep both goalies only to see how they respond next year after a lousy season, but with an improved team.
