Tim Panaccio reports that there may be a trade in the works sending Umberger to Calgary for Roman Hamrlink. By sending Jonsson and Picard back to the Phantoms, the Flyers have opened up about 4 million in cap space to take on a d-man.

The Leetch rumor has also popped up again.

If we could get Leetch and Hamrlink by only losing Umberger, I think that would be a deal worth making.

They said that Leetch was skating and that the Flyers are one of the few teams he has considered playing for. He would fit on our roster and be a huge help, even if he's old. (Anything's better than what we have right now)

Well, even though I am a fan of Umberger, I just think we have an overload of forwards right now, some non-quality but nontheless, I'm pretty sure you all agree that our defense needs major help right now. As long as we don't let 4 goals in a game, I think our forwards have the talent, when healthy, to score a few.

I heard that Leetch will only play on an Easter Conference team with the right "situation." Meaning, perhaps he wants lots of ice time, or maybe wants to be on a Stanley Cup contender. I can really see him playing for us though. He would get plenty of time on the pp and probably five on five as well, thats just how bad we are. Hatcher could get bought out. And yes, I would accept the Hamrlik trade as well. Hamrlik could really help out the pp and add some size and mobility. He skates well for a big man.

Yes, I wouldn't mind Hatcher and Rathje being bought out but Meyer I think can get demoted to the AHL for the time being.

I know we are in need of D-men, but I'm not sure Umby for Hamrlik is a good move...but then again, we have some depth up front and have to give something up to get something. But Roman Hamrlik???
