| Latest Rumors - 30 Oct 06 From Spector's Hockey:
One ridiculous one...
A possible trade of Peter Forsberg to Vancouver in order to unite him with Markus Naslund. Comment: Not only is this ridiculous, but I cannot even imagine what the Flyers would get in return
Whispers...
Paul Holmgren is trying to put together a blockbuster trade centered around Esche and two other players. Comment: Again, don't know what we can get for Eschy now... I know someone mentioned a bag of pucks, but we'd almost be robbing someone with that deal.

| I did see a rumor at Hockeytraderumors.com, that Naslund might be coming to Philly for 2 young players (Carter, Richards). I have a hard time believing the Flyers would give up 2 promising young players for Naslund.

| Some of these are so stupid.
Daily Herald: "New GM Paul Holmgren is said to be looking to make a blockbuster trade to shake things up, with winger Simon Gagne’s name being floated as possible bait. It’s believed the Hawks have offered the Flyers defenseman Jassen Cullimore, who according to a report in the Ottawa Sun also has been shopped to the Boston Bruins." http://www.prosportsdaily.com/nhl_rumors.html

| All ridiculous.
Not only will they not trade Carter and/or Richards, but they DEFINITELY will not be trading Gagne. They just signed him to a five year deal, and although he's not producing at the moment, if we trade Gags, we're royally screwed for points.

| I heard the rumor about Nasland coming here back in training camp...can't remember the site I read it on, but it detailed how the Flyers had a interest in Nasland, because of the relationship between Foppa and him. As a matter of fact, it was before camp, because it said that a sign and trade of Gags was what the Flyers might give up. | | | | The cake is a lie.

| Two words: Salary cap. Flyers are 4 million under cap, if I'm not mistaken, and that doesn't leave a ton of breathing room. Maybe one, two players' worth. And if Holmgren gets rid of ANY prospects any better than R.J. Umberger, he won't last the week. And I'm not talking about his job. I'm talking about his life.
