| Joni Pitkanen!!! Hell ya boys! WE WON
Were now 4 points up on the Rangers, but we need to keep this momentum going. Good game from everyone tonite...
Only one complaint, anyone see how many turnovers Gagne has? Somehow when Forsberg is there, you don't notice those things.

He has been making a lot of errant passes. Last night he missed Knuble on an easy breakaway, he also turned the puck over close to the blue line which lead to that scoring chance where Straka was denied by Hatcher's stickwork. The Tampa game he turned the puck over in our zone at least 3 times. I would rather see him play with a playmaker like Richards then that waste of a trade Nedved. | | | | Mighty Mighty Mick

| Yeah 2 assists so far I believe. So far a big waste...

| 3 assists and a goal I do believe..
And no, he isn't that big of a waste because a lot of opposing players give him space when he has the puck and he has some nice passes.. He also gives us some depth on our second pp unit and in our center position.
SORRY, that was my mistake with posting this in the trade rumour section, my bad. | | | | do-nothing Hiver

| 'sall good... as far as Nedved, he wasn't supposed to come in a be a revolution. Just give us some secondary production. I mean, he was swapped for Seidenberg after all. I hope Clarke pulls another big move before the trade deadline... and not for a goalie either. I think we have a good tandem team right now. We do need another scorer/playmaker, especially since it looks like Prims is completely done (but imagine if he comes back... that would make things interesting!?!?)

Clarke's intention was to bring in Nedved and have him immediately become a second line center behind Forsberg so that Zeus could play more with the Checking line. He's even admitted that he isn't in the condition he should be at this point in the season.
I just haven't seen much from him that impresses me all that much. He isn't able to cycle the puck like he used, and he's not even in the same realm as Zeus at faceoffs. Every once in a while he will score that slick goal like the other day and you start to think maybe he could play up to the level he used to.
Look at the production the Rangers are getting out of players like Nylander and Rucinsky. I put these guys all in the same category and they are very close in age. For every good play he makes he takes a dumb penalty. | | | | Mighty Mighty Mick

SORRY, that was my mistake with posting this in the trade rumour section, my bad. | Guess I just wanted more out of him sooner. I do like him, he does give us the very needed depth.

| funny you mention Nylander, I think the guy has the most production per dollar... the mans a point machine.. i wish we had signed him during the offseason
I'm dissapointed in Nedved, only in the fact that he can't replace Forsberg on our top line when Forsberg is injured, with Gagne and Knuble. They seem to lack in any chemistry whatsoever. I think the rumour is true that Nedved likes playing with fellow Euor's, not North Americans.... my only complaint. The penalties I can live with for now because he's had some decent overall games.
On the subject, Knuble has taken a lot of dumb penalties, holds in the offensive zone and the like, why don't we rake him? | | | | do-nothing Hiver

Knuble's a character/role-player... he's supposed to augment Forsberg-Gagne like he did in Boston with Thornton and whoever. The main reasons I like the Nedved is because we have so many Euro's on the team. I'm especially excited to see how Branko develops playing with him. I think Branko has some real talent, albeit raw. I really hope that Nedved can salvage a bit of a career and mentor him.

| Yeah, knuble does take a lot of stupid penalties as well, but he's a physical player. Look at his face last game!!
Besides, that he has scored over 40 pts and is one of our better +/- players on the team. | | | | Senior Member

| I know, I know.. Thats why we don't grill him all the time, I just thought I should mention that he's in our top three on our team in PIM. Brash has about 55 or something?? | | | | Mighty Mighty Mick

| I really hope Nedved can give Branko some good advice and take him under his wing. I think, if he tries hard enough, Branko can become a clutch scoring winger.

| once branko is healthy again i think he is a huge asset to the flyers...hes alot like gagne is..hes always in the right place for a slick pass and has quick skates he just doens't have anyone to feed him that pass like foppa does with gagne....if nedved can get in shape and can keep up with branko's fast pace he could be a real clutch player down the line... | | | | do-nothing Hiver

| I agree... Branko's ready to come into his own. He's got the skill and drive... he just needs to bring it all together. It's also time for Carter to get serious and play at the level that he can. He's timid at times and can disappear for looooong periods of time. He's supposed to be our star of the future... he needs to take it up a notch.

| I like Rado, I really do. I really hope he can develop into a big maybe 25-30 goal scorer. He just needs to hit the net and it's all goood.

I can't believe how many shots of been of the mark in the past few weeks. We're shooting but hitting the back boards more often than the goalie. Hard to score that way
