NHL Cup Final Schedule Set Source: NHL.com
The National Hockey League released today the schedule of dates for the 2004 Stanley Cup Final, which will begin Tuesday, May 25 at a venue to be determined.
The Stanley Cup Final will match the Western and Eastern Conference champions in a best-of-seven series. The Calgary Flames lead the San Jose Sharks in the West, 3-2, while the Tampa Bay Lightning and Philadelphia Flyers are tied 2-2 in the East.
The club with the higher regular-season point total will have home-ice advantage in the Stanley Cup Final and will host Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, Games 5 and 7. The other club will host Games 3, 4 and, if necessary, Game 6.
Tampa Bay finished the regular season with 106 points; San Jose had 104, Philadelphia 101 and Calgary 94.
The start time for all Stanley Cup Final games will be 8 p.m., ET. Complete broadcast information for the Stanley Cup Final will be announced when available.

I guess since Both Conference Finals are goin at least Six Games they wanted to give both teams time to rest in case they both go seven.
