Nagy out with dislocated wrist Source: ESPN - NHL
Phoenix Coyotes left wing Ladislav Nagy, who leads the team in goals and is second in points, is out indefinitely with a dislocated wrist, the team announced Tuesday.
Nagy suffered the injury late in the second period of Monday night's game against the St. Louis Blues. Nagy collided with Blues left wing Keith Tkachuk and jammed his wrist. He did not return to the game.
The wrist was X-rayed at the arena before Nagy was flown back to Phoenix for evaluation while the Coyotes headed to Detroit for a game Wednesday.
The 24-year-old has 24 goals and 28 assists in 55 games for the Coyotes this season. Through Monday's games, Nagy was tied for 11th in the league in goals and was 18th in scoring.
Losing one of its top scorers won't help Phoenix push its way into the playoffs. The Coyotes were tied for 12th in the Western Conference after Monday's games and trailed the Blues and the Dallas Stars by nine points for the eighth and final playoff berth.
