| If Stevens doesn't play, which is what I heard. Anybody know who would take his place on the roster. Either Souray or Aucoin would start. | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer

| Either Souray or Aucoin would start. then they would have to name some one to fill in the empty roster spot , so perhaps someone who wasn't named , but should be there will get to go.

| Sorry so long - I'm just passionate about hockey.
There are quite a few "questionable" names on that roster - AND some names who were left out!
Messier? Roberts? Boynton? Doan? Timonen? Kuba? Vokoun? Modano? Guerin? Even Primeau is "iffy"? If it wasn't for Primeau's OUTSTANDING leadership, and all the "little things" he does to create quality scoring chances, I would say no. But he has become one of THE best two-way players in the league, and that IMHO justifies his spot on the squad.
And what about Hejduk? Nash? Forsberg?? Where are they?? I like what Barry Melrose said, "The All-Star game is for stars, and I want to see STARS in the line-up!"
I agree that Nash isn't there because rookies have the Young Guns Game ... And you never know how they are going to turn out. An All-Star should have certain criteria, which determine their eligibility. Just as one example: 2 Years Pro / Certain Number Of Games Played / etc.
It seems that the "Stars" in the league are becoming extinct. The clutching and grabbing prevents them from doing what they do best!! And I RESENT that from the NHL!! I want to see scoring like it was back in the 80's! Not a SNOOZE-FEST like most of the games are today. That's because of the BS "systems" all the teams use - THE TRAP.
Every year it gets worse - And I keep complaining about it ... There will be a time I give up, and that time is coming ... The CBA!! | | | | This Space for Rent Join Date: Sep 2003 Posts: 2,297

| I love seeing Vokoun named to the team. Nobody knows how good he's playing, because of how bad the rest of the team is. I think he's hockey's best kept goaltending secret. Hell, I would't mind seeing Vokoun here in Philly (21-17-5; 2 SO; 2.41 GAA; .914 SV%) His numbers aren't great, but he doesn't have anybody playing in front of him defensively. So I think Vokoun deserves his spot. | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer

| I must have overlooked that - I suppose I was a bit "twisted" over some of the selections on those rosters. | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer
