HOLD THE STREAK!
The Florida Panthers ended the Flyers' wining streak tonight when they defeated the Flyers by a 4-3 score. The Flyers showed offensive patience, hustle, and brilliance until the last second of play. Unfortunately, it was the lack of defense and a fluke goal that caused the Flyers to perish tonight.
Olli Jokinen and Greggory Campbell scored two goals each for the Panthers, while Joffrey Lupol, Jeff Carter, and Lasse Kukkonen scored for the Flyers.
Carters goal, which was beautifully assisted by RJ Umberger, was his 4th of the season, which ties him with Briere and Gagne for second place in scoring on the team.
Speaking of Gagne, it's rumored that he sustained a concussion during tonight's game from a high hit just infront of the Florida bench. Gagne left the game in the second period after spells of dizziness and did not return. Word on his condition has not yet been released.
Marty Biron's performance tonight, after letting in four goals, was still stellar to say the least. Key saves were made when they needed to be. A lack of defense and a forty-five shots against total are what buried the Flyers tonight.
The Flyers travel to Tampa Bay tomorrow night to take on the Lightning at 7:30EST. Antero Niitymaki is scheduled to start the game.
