Sorry, but I just don't see why these are "awesome moves." We traded a future stud defensman for an aging vet and an underachieving forward and locked up Briere for a ridiculous amount of cash and years. I am happy that we got our #1 center as I had hoped for, but I really could have seen some better moves made.

I think the thing is, Homer had a bad taste in his mouth about Joni. Granted, we dished him for an older, veteran d-man, but look at the rest of our D-core. Certainly nothing to worry about in years to come...
