Flyers sign Timonen & Hartnell

The Nashville Predators reacquire their 2007 first round pick (23rd overall) by trading defenseman Kimmo Timonen and forward Scott Hartell to the Flyers. TSN is reporting that the Flyers have already come to terms with both players, with Timonen signing a 6-year $37.8M contract ($6.3M per year) and Hartnell signing a 6-year $25.2M deal ($4.2M).

The 25 year old Hartnell and the 31 year old Timonen were considered to be two of the most coveted free agents this off season. Discuss.

Hartnell is a hard working player and will get a lot of ice time in Philly. I like the move.

Nashville gets Forsberg (good for 30 games)
Philly gets Hartnell, Timonen, Parent, and Upshall
