| BLOG: Wtf was that? Just got back to the hotel from the Super Lack of Skills competition.
May I say that I’m highly agitated that I paid money to see that. Aside from the events in themselves being awful, the in arena showing and coverage was absolutely horrifying. How can the NHL go from mid-90’s skill competitions to this junk? The obstacle course was retarded.
I wasn’t even highly impressed with the trick shots, either. However, give them a few years, and I suppose they can start to bang out more tricks, and what not.
Bought myself a Richards jersey, finally. Don’t ask me how much it was, I wish to forget it - same as my bank account.
The Phillips Arena has the worst interior layout ever. By far. No questions asked. There’s no sense to it.
I can’t even write anymore. That was atrocious. Here are the few good pictures I managed to get. Thanks, bar in my face. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/562276016LTomKV | | | | Let's go Flyers.

| Oh and also, we were in about 3-4 near arguments and what not. We started a "first place" chant when a Penguins fan was dissing on the Flyers, a "We love Downie" chant behind a bunch of Senators fans, and then a "How's McGratton?" chant behind another Senators fan group.
Then, while in line to buy our jerseys, we were talking about how badly the arena sucks, and some lady was like, "Yeah - blame Atlanta, maybe it's just Philadelphia that's confusing, and you guys are unintelligent college kids." Jesus fuck, I've never wanted to hit anyone so badly. Hahah. | | | | Senior Member

| Pics look good. Did you move down to empty seats?
The event was a joke. Like I said before, teh NHL has no clue how to market itself in things like this. There were countless problems all night with the event.
How did Richards act? I didn't see much of him - Kimmo was more featured.
Hopefully the All-Star Game tonight goes a bit better.

| Typical self, I guess.
He only really conversed with Timonen. He separated himself from everyone else most of the time, from what I saw.
Occasionally he and Ovechkin held minute long conversations, but that's about the gist of it. | | | | The cake is a lie.

| I've seen good Super Skills before. Seriously.
Until they fucked with it. And brought it into Georgia.
Ohhhh boy...

| Your pictures suck my grundle. Sorry, but they are a bit blurry. You should have borrowed Drew's $600,00.00 Camera, the one he spent his life savings on. Then sir, you would have had some wonderful pictures

Anyways, why is the All-Star game in Atlanta anyway? What a horrible idea that was.. Pick a big-market host city. Atlanta is surely not a large-market hockey town. | | | | | Thanked by: | Drew (January 27th, 2008) | Member

| Really wouldn't make any difference at all if the competition was held at the Wachovia Center in Philly, or in Atlanta. If they had the same events, it would have been garbage, regardless. | | | | Let's go Flyers.

What's the percentage of hockey fans that listen to that R&B garbage along with an all-black marching band on ice?
Wow. You fail (again) NHL marketing department.

Wow. You fail (again) NHL marketing department. | Yeah, I just shook my head when I saw that band come out. Seriously, did anyone in that crowd outside of Buttman and his crew actually enjoy that crap? All they managed to do was force the Zamboni to be extra careful to get everything off the ice for the 3rd. | | | | |
