I am blown away by this news of Rick Tocchet being charged in this betting/laundering/ scandal. I was relieved to hear that it doesn't involve betting on hockey ( almost certainly ). If convicted of just the wiring of money (cross-state) and laundering Tocchet has to do a minimum of 3 and a third years in New Jersey. This doesn't even include the betting charges. Yikes . . . With Janet Gretzky mentioned, an NHL GM, an NHL coach and current NHL players being mentioned, this will hog the headlines in Canada ( I can't speak for the States here ) for days, weeks to come. I can't help but speculate that the NHL coach is the great one himself, Wayne Gretzky.

Hockey did not need this ! ! Or did they ? ? Someone talk me down off the bridge . . .

I think the NHL coach they're talking about is Rick Tocchet. I did just hear on the radio that players to be named include Mark Recchi, John LeClair, and Jeremy Roenick.

At least they mention Tocchet as a former Coyote and not a Flyer!!
