Why the F would you cut Trotter. Granted, he's not as quick as he was in his hayday, but he's a moose, and he's got as much heart in him than anyone who I've ever seen put an Eagles helmet on. Why.........WHY!!!!

There's this thing in Philadelphia. I don't know why, but, it's called the "Bob Clarke Effect". It sucks.

Our defense just lost a lot of heart, and skill. Hopefully we'll find a way to rebound, or it's going to be a long season. I know it's only ONE guy, but he made a difference in A TON of games in previous seasons. I'm stunned at this move. There has to be something that caused it. I can't see him leaving JUST like that. :frown:

I'm not an Eagles fan by any stretch, quite the opposite, as some of you may know. I do, however, enjoy watching them play and have followed the team for as long as I can remember.

I don't see the logic in this at all, the CSN article listed his big missed tackle in the playoffs against the Saints last year as the catalyst for this move, but still, I would take any player with half of the heart Trotter showed on the field. He's got experience, great leadership, and one would think he'd be able to hold his own for a few more years in the NFL.

There might be something we don't know, but that makes this a hell of alot more confusing. This might just come and bite the Eagles in the ass later this year.

I'm all-for seeing my 'Boys sign Trot.

Yes. But still, one missed tackle in a HUGE game shouldn't be enough to send him packing. How many times has McNabb missed key opportunity plays? He's still here. Although, he's Reid's butt-buddy. But, still. One tackle shouldn't warrant his demise. I'm angered by the move. Unless there's something we're all not seeing.

Next to Dawk, Trotter is the heart of the Birds defensive structure, and it just lost a huge chunk with this move.
