I need your help.I need some answers on the quastions from you...It's for competition in FLYERS history:

1)Can you tell me,when the Flyers play first game in BLACK jersey(first game)?I need year,month & day.Also I need the name of versus team,and BOXSCORE of this game...

I belive the game was on Black friday in 1997 ( black friday is the day after thanksgiving here in the U.S.A )

so that would make it Nov. 28th 1997 which would have been against the N.Y. Islanders , and the Flyers won 4 - 1 not sure on the goal scorers for the game , I also could be wrong on this , but I think that is when I remeber 1st seeing them.

Hopefully someone else here will know for sure , and will be able to say if I am right or wrong on the date ,

If I got your question correctly, (#2) Dave "Sudsy" Settlemeyer did suit up for a game as backup, but never played.

I vaguely remember something about Bob Froese being hurt & he had to suit up. That would put it somewhere in the early to mid 1980's.
