great read , makes some good points , its a long way to go till the season ends , but wouldn't it be nice for a flyers player to finally win this award for once

He certainly has my vote so far in this young season. The kid's got star potential written all over him.

1987 winner was Luc Robitaille Los Angeles Kings Calder Winners
the last flyers to win an award was last season when Chokemanek and Esche shared the William M. Jennings Trophy with Martin Brodeur.

Marek Zidlicky would be the front-runner if he wasn't born 7 months too early.
