Flyers claim RW Siklenka from Rangers, recall C White
November 5, 2003
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Flyers claimed right wing Mike Siklenka off waivers from the New York Rangers and recalled center Peter White from the American Hockey League on Wednesday.
Siklenka, 23, played only one game for the Rangers after being claimed from the Flyers in the NHL waiver draft on October 3. Last season, he played in one game for the Flyers and totaled six goals and six assists in 64 games with their AHL affiliate.
White, 34, was scoreless in three games for the Flyers earlier this season. At the team's AHL affiliate in Philadelphia, he had three goals and four assists.
In 220 NHL games, White has 23 goals and 37 assists. He was acquired from Chicago on March 11 for future considerations.
funny how we lost this guy in the waiver draft only to get him back on waivers , only in the NHL i guess .

Either way, White's a useless piece of garbage. He only plays in Philly because he married Clarkie's daughter.
Siks is ok, but he won't find a spot on the big team yet and he'll have to clear waivers AGAIN to be sent down. I'm not counting any chickens yet. | | | | No Longer Embarrased
