| as of now it is un-offically retired , but I think they should raise it to the rafters since no one will be permitted to wear it again for the Flyers

| #31 should be retired! He was outstanding and deserves the honor. I know they have the award named after him, but it would be even better to hang his number. | | | | Newbee Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 13

| It's really too bad he died so young. He could have played well into the 90's along with Hex and they would've won a few Cups together
They should retire his number for good. | | | | Newbee Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 13

| Lindberg was great... my hero as a kid... but I don't know that he played long enough to get his jersey retired

| . . . # 31 was the coolest looking goalie out there. Loved the mask, but especially the talent. I'm a hockey card collecting nerd and Pelle's rookie pose is one of my favorites ! ! Good on ya' for taking this on and good-luck ! ! | | | | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 183

| I remember the night that Pelle got into that accident. I was about 7 years old and my father took me to a Flyers game a few nights later. I remember seeing the sign out front of the Spectrum commemorating his tragic death. Sadly, I don't remember seeing him in action. | | | | Newbee Join Date: Jan 2006 Posts: 13

| well i was too young to really remember pelle but my parents have talked emense amounts about him and i can only imagine the talent he had...but on the other hand i look at what he had done and his tragic death and im reminded of the reasons why we should never ever ever drink and drive...i understand celebrating but take a taxi or a limo or whatever but don't get behind the wheel...ive lost six friends to the hands of drunk drivers and it makes me sick to think of the careless disregard for human life that some people have.....please before you drink and drive think and if not for anyone else do it for yourself cause not only could you hurt others but you could hurt yourself....
please take a moment to check out this website its about four the girls i knew who had been killed by a drunk driver...if nothing else just take a minute and understand that they were just teens and had not yet experience half of what life could bring them.... http://www.preciousgemsmemorial.com/ | | | | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 183
