| key for devils game besides the obvious "play D in front of the rookie goalie", I think a key for tonight is to NOT be overly patient.
think about it. I know the majority of you were also yelling at our boys to shoot the thing at the thing. I love a well-exectued set play, but how well did that work last game? 1 pp goal. 'nuff said. and especially against a very defensive team like NJ, I think the Fly guys just need to go for quantity over quality.
now I'm not saying to play reckless, but when an opportunity presents itself, just let it rip! save the extra passes for another night.

| Good points. I'd also like to see them just shoot more without being so damned fussy about making the perfect shot. Remember, you don't score if you don't shoot the puck.

| the last I checked, shooting the puck was the best way to score. :toothless
and the flyers are notorious for seeking out perfection. give me a grind it out/rebound/"crappy" goal over a pretty shot that misses the net or gets saved.
and that's another thing...
HIT THE NET! it's freakin 6 x 4...it isn't asking too much for a professional, with no prressure on him, to at least get the puck on goal.
or maybe I'm just asking for too much

| Now that the goalies are smaller, the 5 hole is back in business. If goalies don't get down fast enough, the puck's gonna go in. Just ****ing shoot it.

| I agree what they did on Wednesday with the cycling did get out of control. However, that is the right thing to do, you can only do it so long before the other team catches on.
Hopefully tonight the powerplay will be stronger than Wednesday, because we should be ashamed of 1-10. | | | | HAI

| The powerplay has to get better, and I agree with you guys, we need to concentrate on just getting some more shots, we tried to be too pretty last week, and look where it got us. | | | | LETS GO FLYERS!

| Just a note: New Jersey stopped the Penguins on the power play 10 of 11 times on Wednesday. | | | | Newbee Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 12
