The Comcast-Spectacor operations crew was busy this weekend painting lines and logos on the ice at the Wachovia Center in preparation for the upcoming Philadelphia Flyers hockey season which commences on Friday, September 19, with a preseason game against the Stanley Cup Champion New Jersey Devils.
During the 24-hour ice making process, four gallons of paint and 10,000 gallons of water were used. The regular season begins at home on Thursday, October 9 when the Flyers host the Buffalo Sabres.
