| Clarkie Is Out Of There The Flyers are good for coaching, but, the person that definitly needs to go is Bob Clarke. Clarkie has been with the Flyers for a pretty long time. He has been in conflict with Lindros before, and I thought both of them would be gone. But nooooooooo, Clarkie is still here and he isnt doing anything for us. He is just causing this team to go down the whole. Sure he made that move for Amonte, Roenick, and Zhamnov, but they're all washed up, theyre old. We need a Lecaiver, St. Louis, or Nash. We have Joni, thats it. Get someone else, we need a cup team, or there wont be a Flyers fan left.

| Clarke isn't bringing the team down in my opinion. I think that he put together a great team this year, adding the europeans which i thought he would NEVER do. He put together a team that could have won the Stanley Cup this season. But, our gas ran out at the end and we came up short.
Just like JR said, the reason this season's final loss is so dissapointing is because it's the best chance that the Flyers are going to have to win a cup in quite a few years. Leclair,Amonte,Brash will be gone after this season. And i think that the most stable thing is the organiziation is Robert Esche.
I think it's just devastating..we're not going to have a team like this for a long while.. | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer

| some things that need to improve next year
1. the Power Play - the Flyers had just one goal in the tampa series while tampa score on almost every power play they had , or at least once a game
2 PK , the PK started out great Vs NJ , slacked off a bit vs. Toronto and was as effective as a screen door on a sub in the Conf. final.
3. Turnovers , the flyers had many bad turn overs and Tampa and The Leafs made them pay
4. the players that didn't show up need to go , Amonte , LeClair to name a few , your time is done ,
Clarkie will be back and I know he wont let this team fall aprat and not contend for the cup next year or wehen ever the NHL returns after the likely lock-out next season.

| In no way should, or will Clarke be fired. In my opinion, he did an absolutely fantastic job this year pulling the trigger on trades and getting some solid players to fill in holes.
While guys like Lecavalier, St.Louis, & Richards are great - they don't exactly grow on trees. We have two guys who, mark my words, will be BETTER than Lecavalier & St.Louis - Jeff Carter (11th overall, 2003) and Mike Richards (24th overall, 2003). These guys are the future of the Flyers - and Carter should definately be in the orange & black next year. | | | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 215

| Im with you. Clarkie did great this season. This is the first season i didnt hate him at the end of . And just a quick question does any one think Eager will replace Brashear in the coming years. Im pretty sure he was an enforcer with a little skill am i right. Ive heard he is a Darcy Tucker without the scoring. | | | | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2003 Posts: 200

| Clarke had his best year in a long time as a GM. Him and the goaltender are two less people I will blame for this year's falling short than previous years. | | | | Thoresen dropper NHL-spil

| The bottom line is...Clarke did a fantastic job this year!!! Not only this year he has made a few moves in the past couple that are proving to be great. Who do you think made the trade that got us our goaltender that was a stallion in the playoffs??? How bout the drafting of guys like Carter and Richards...you may not see the results yet, but trust me we will in a short time. Also, I agree that Fedetenko is a good player, but just wait and see Joni come of age and you will be glad that Clarkie made that deal too!!! Look the guy has boned up in the past, but cut him a break that is all done with and can't be changed. He is putting together a team that will be deep and talented for years to come. I hate the fact that we lost in the conference finals as much as anyone else, but I believe that the best is yet to come in the next few years. | Well Clarkey did make a big mistake . He didnt sign Korovkin our best D prospect.. Instean he got the flyers 3 not that good D men (Wood, Meyer, Skolney) i am really disapointed in Clarkey. I just have to hope he did sign him and there has been no notice yet. I also have to hope we signed Ruggeri another above average D man prospect. Clarkey | | | | Member Join Date: Jun 2004 Posts: 30
