| Is It Me, Or Is It That The Flyers Need A New Management Change? AGAIN, the Flyers have lost. But. This is a little more painful. This was the year we had the best chance since 1989 to win the cup. The Flyers had a chance to win it in 97', but were beat 4-0 in the series to Detroit. In 2000 we faced the Devils. We were up 3-0 in that series in the confrence finals. The Devils came back to win 4 straight to win, they eventually went to win the cup. This season, we faced the Devils in the first round. We beat them 4-1 in the series and beat that demon. We beat Toronto to say, ''hey we can do this, no one will stop us''. Now this. SIGH, it was a good series, thank goodness we didnt get blown out. It was a good season, and im proud to be a Flyers fan, no matter what Barry Melrose says, the Flyers are the best team in the NHL. Stupid Melrose | | | | Forum Enforcer, Wallpaper Designer

| Management is not the problem here , Clarlie put a good teasm on the ice , considerin all the injuries this past season , and the deals he made to getr players that helped contribute this post season , I can say this , a few players will not be back next year , if there is a sason. so who returns and who don't we sahll see.

| I don't see the need for a management change after this season either, a while back I really didn't agree with anything that Clarkie was doing, but he put together a hell of a team with a hell of alot of character, we just ran out of gas at the end. | | | | No Longer Embarrased

| Clarke is fine. The team is fine. We made it to the Final 4 for good reason. The only changes that need to made are up front with LeClair, Amonte, and Brashear.

| I know Sure, i agree, Clarkie didnt really do anything wrong this year. But, you know he will eventually mess something up. Thats when he will get booted. EXAMPLE: if he fires Hitchcock, he will be gone, gets rid of Gagne or any other young superstar, he will be gone, ecspecially, if he gets rid of a vetran(which one is defintily going this offseason) and gets this crapy kid that dosent show for anything. Then he will be gone. Thats my opinion, he will eventually screw something up. thats when you can say. GOODBYE TO YOU, GOODBYE TO YOUUUUOUUU | | | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 215

| Ya clarkie has done some pretty stupid things. (for example
Getting rid of forsberg, prospal, and Thibault. Hiring Bill Barber stuff like that)But he seems to be doing much better now. Picking up Timander for a 7th round pick and filling in at center with Zhamnov were awsome moves.I think bob Clarke will be around for at least 4 more years. | | | | HAI

| I agree that Clarke has done some idiotic things throughout the years, but he seems to have turned it around. If he reverts back to his bone head moves again I think they need to look for a replacement but he pretty much has righted the ship | | | | HAI

| The Flyers have to pull another fast one a la Dean Lombardi and hire Rick Dudley at least as a scout. This guy is a genius when it comes to young players and potential stars. He built Ottawa, T-Bay and was working his magic in Florida when the Cats cut him loose for some reason. | | | | Senior Member Join Date: May 2004 Posts: 215

| That was pretty stupid firing dudley. Wasnt he the reason they got Luongo and they have 4 players over 30 years old.
This team has potential to be a contender. But there prospects have to step up into wat there supposed to be.
Dudley did a great job i would have kept him. | | | | | |
