Just an update on 6th round pick Patrick Maroon, who is now with the OHL London Knights.
13 Games Played
12 Goals
13 Assists
25 Points
15 PIM
+5
I will update his progress throughout the season.

Patrick Kane had a player on his line named Sam Gagner, who if you guys seen any of the Russian super series played exceptionally well, throughout last season there was discussion about who helped who's numbers more. Kane for Gagner and Vice versa. I do think though that since Patrick Maroon played in the NAHL last season, that may have hurt his draft position, given the NAHL isn't on the same level as the OHL.
Obviously his "draft position" isn't a bad thing considering the Flyers got him. Kind of reminds me of a Tocchet in a way, in the NAHL last season Patrick Maroon in 57 games had 40 Goals
55 Assists for 95 Points and 152 PIM's. Another thing to note from Patrick Maroon is that, he's not just a "regular season" performer who gets cold in the playoffs, he was also named NAHL playoff MVP last year.

Just another thing on Maroon now that I am looking at overall Pts leaders in the Ontario Hockey League..
#1 Shawn Matthias 14 GP 11 G 21 A 32 PTS
#2 John Taveras 13 GP 16 G 14 A 30 PTS
#3 Justin Azevedo 12 GP 7 G 20 A 27 PTS
#4 Patrick Maroon 14 GP 12 G 13 A 25 PTS
Those are the League Leaders... Pat is awfully close to the "next next one" still early, but GREAT sign.

Hopefully for Taveras and whoever drafts him, he doesn't buckle under the pressure, He's going to come under as much pressure if not more than Crosby. Like Crosby to Wayne, everything Taveras does will be compared to Crosby.

Taveras Is exploding, a week ago, Maroon was 5 points behind him, he is now 12 points back. Taveras is great though, if Maroon was going to challenge him for a scoring title in a league like the OHL, Im sure people would have known Maroon's name and he would not have gone in the 6th round.
Still, he's playing great.
