Flyers acquire defenceman Denis Gauthier from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for forward Josh Gratton and two second-round picks in 2006.

Flyers acquire forward Niko Dimitrakos from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2006.

Scouting report on GAUTHIER - Mistake-prone earlier in his career but has developed into a tough, combative and fairly reliable defensive player. Willing battler in front of his net, gets to loose pucks and has learned to move the puck quickly or dump it out of his zone. Valuable physical presence with limited offensive ability.
